SING! North East 2024

We had an amazing time in 2023 and we cannot wait to continue making more musical memories with young singers from around the North East in 2024! SING! will start with a Spring Weekend, and participants can then choose to sign up for a Summer Vocal Day, and an Autumn Workshop Day with National Youth Choir vocal leaders. 

At the start of February 2024, we were in Newcastle for our Spring Weekend and we already looking forward to our next follow-up activity!

Summer Vocal Day 2024 

Saturday 20 July

Today has inspired me to continue singing and basically reminded me how much I enjoy it  — SING! Participant 2023 

Join us at our free Summer Vocal Day to develop your musical skills further and meet some of our vocal leaders from National Youth Choir! Improve your musicianship and get an insight into what we do on our residential courses as we focus on the core elements of singing practice and performance. 

🎵 What to expect:

• Singing workshops with returning vocal leaders Luke and Antonio 
• Learn new exciting songs across styles, genres, languages and cultures
• Gain more singing techniques and musical skills to elevate your singing 
• Make new friends and sing with others from across the North East
• Everything we do as a group will be taught during the day, so there’s nothing to prepare ahead of time, just bring yourselves and be open to new experiences with music!
• At the end of the day we’ll invite your families back for a short performance so you can show off your skills!

👫 Who can join:

• For anyone who loves singing in Y6 to Y9 at a state school or home schooled in the North East of England, who isn't currently part of National Youth Choir. 
• It’s free to take part and we can support travel costs from across the region for you and your family.
• Whatever your musical interest, this is open to all.
